Commercial cleaning goes on.
After a scorcher of a week we’re now looking at continued warning of thunderstorms as the weather changes across Merseyside.
Intermittent torrential rain over Liverpool might seem like a washout, but many of our commercial cleaning teams will be looking forward to some cooler weather going forward.
This is especially the case for many of our school and nursery cleaners across Liverpool. On site from as early as 6AM they’ve been working tirelessly to keep spaces clean, safe and hygienic.
Uniformed up and with all necessary PPE as you might expect they can get rather warm steam cleaning an office bathroom! But at least with Cleaning Master it’s definitely a case of ‘All the gear…right idea’ for a change.
Good thing we’re not just fair-’weather’ cleaners….
As well as handing out bottled water we’ve been providing our cleaning teams with some tips for keeping cool and collected while working hard.
Stay hydrated. Have water on hand when working physically. Don’t forget many of the machines our cleaners use give out a fair bit of heat as well- floor cleaners, buffers, steamers & more.
Where possible look at taking small breaks regularly rather than long ones- particularly for any outside work in the Sun. With our time tagging system we can monitor this cleaner to cleaner without any extra work involved.
Dress light (er)....while we do draw the line at turning up dressed for the beach, some lighter choices can really help with keeping cool. Providing cleaners have uniform & ID items visible and look neat and presentable of course!
Airflow! Be it fans, windows or throughdraft, if you’re working in one location for a protracted period always keep an eye on airflow.
Finally, use the buddy system. Our teams work together for a reason. Keep an eye on each other and make team leaders aware if someone is struggling.
